Welcome
Thanks for stopping by! I’m a romance author, a voracious reader, a wife, a mother, and a slave to three cats. I love creating stories about men and women who are convinced they don’t need each other…and the journeys they go on as they realize how wrong they are.
I’m excited to introduce my newest release. Waiting for You is the third book in my Landry family series, and tells the story of Jake Landry and Erin Shaw.
Jake has been a soldier in war zones for the past ten years, and readjusting to civilian life won’t be easy. Determined not to burden anyone with the painful memories that haunt him, he keeps people at a distance as he tries to cope with the darkness alone.
His armor seems to work on everyone except Erin. She’s his sister’s friend, and he always thought of her as a kid. But he’s come home to find her all grown up, and even though Jake knows he’s not relationship material right now, he can’t stop thinking about her.
Erin thought she got over her teenage crush years ago. Now that Jake’s home she realizes her old feelings are alive and well, but she also knows he’s not looking for anything romantic.
If she were smart she’d keep her distance. But Erin’s never been smart where Jake is concerned, and with sparks flying whenever they’re together, it’s getting harder and harder to resist the chemistry between them. Can Erin help Jake rediscover his faith in the future…and in love?
Waiting for You is available now on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Smashwords, and iTunes. If you don’t have an eReader, there are lots of other options. You can download the free Kindle app from Amazon or the free Nook app from Barnes and Noble, for reading on your PC, Mac, or handheld device; you can download free software like Adobe Digital Editions; or you can get it as a PDF file from Smashwords, which can be read on your computer or printed out.
Waiting for You is a book of my heart, and very special to me. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it!
All my best,
Abigail

Cross My Heart is the second book about the Landry family, and follows The Millionaire’s Wish. It’s a romance between two very different people: Jenna Landry, the free spirit of the Landry family, and Michael Stone, a cardiac surgeon and single dad.
I’ve always loved music, but Jenna, a former rock star, is even more passionate about music than I am. (Plus she’s actually a musician, something I never had the talent for!) Music is a thread that runs throughout the story, and helps to draw three people together: Jenna, Michael, and Michael’s daughter, Claire. On my playlist page, you can see some of the songs I listened to while I was writing this book.
Michael had a rough childhood and science was his refuge from the chaos, as well as his ticket out. Now a successful surgeon, he relies on logic and reason over instinct and feeling. He doesn’t really trust emotion, which makes it hard for him to trust people—or get close to them. But when he realizes that he and his fourteen year old daughter are growing further and further apart, he knows he has to do something to connect with her before it’s too late.
That’s where Jenna comes in. Michael’s been attracted to his gorgeous new neighbor ever since she moved in, but since logic tells him they have nothing in common he’s resisted the urge to get to know her. But when Claire tells her dad how much she wants to meet the woman who was the lead guitarist of one of her favorite bands, Michael grabs at the chance to do something for his daughter.
Jenna has always lived like a gypsy, never staying in one place for very long. She’s only back in her Iowa hometown for the summer, and the last thing she wants is to get involved with a man—especially a man like Michael Stone, who’s so different from the bad boy types she’s gone for in the past. But once she starts spending time with this single dad and his daughter, she finds it hard to resist the urge to help them—and even harder to resist the burning attraction between her and Michael.
What do you do when your head tells you one thing and your heart tells you another?
I absolutely loved writing this book, and I hope that feeling translated onto the page. Happy reading!
Abigail
